China’s crude steel output rose at a fast pace of 10.1% on year over January-April to reach some 315 million tonnes, according to the latest statistics released by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 15.
The growth in production was 0.2 percentage point higher than that for the first three months of this year. As for April alone, China’s crude steel output grew 12.7% on year to 85.03 million tonnes, with daily steel output up last month, jumping by9.4% compared with March to a new average high of 2.83
